Description:John Rambo (Sylvester Stallone), a shell-sh0cked Vietnam Green Beret vet wanders into a western town and is immediately escorted out by the sheriff, Teasle (Brian Dennehy). When Rambo reenters town, Teasle arrests him. In jail, cops beat on him until he snaps. He breaks away and escapes into the mountains. The cops pursue and one by one are put out of commission by Rambo's traps. The National Guard is called in and thinks they've killed Rambo in a mine. He climbs out, steals a truck and creates chaos in the town until his old Army C.O. Trautman (Richard Crenna) talks him into giving himself up.

Review - First Blood

The most amazing thing about this movie is how they make Rambo look like the good guy — or at least the sympathetic character. It's more than a little over-the-top, both in regard to the cops' initial reaction to his looks and his skills at evading his pursuers. But it's a rollicking fun movie to watch.
