Reviews for The Man from Snowy River
Review - Man from Snowy River, The
Enjoyable. Except for the extreme spray-on tan, Burlinson did a good job as Jim. The story was a bit pat, but aren't all horse movies?

| Description: | Jim Craig (Tom Burlinson) lives in the Australian mountains with his father. When his father is killed in a logging accident, Jim goes to live with his father's friend, Spur (Kirk Douglas). He needs a job, so he signs on at the ranch of the wealthy Harrison (also Kirk Douglas), a proud man who hates his twin brother, Spur. Jim is despised for being from the mountains, and when Jim falls in love with Harrison's daughter, Jessica, Harrison will have no part of it. He kicks Jim off his ranch and blames him with his prize horse gets loose and joins a wild herd. Ranchers from all over the area gather to regain the horse, but it's Jim alone who brings in, not only Harrison's horse, but the entire wild bunch. Jim informs Harrison that he's coming back for his share of the herd — and for Jessica. |
