Review - Cape Fear
OK. The beginning is genuinely suspenseful and creepy, but the houseboat stuff is a bit over the top dramatic (and stupid).

| Description: | Max Cady (Robert Mitchum) gets out of jail after serving eight years for attacking a young girl. He vows revenge on Sam Bowden (Gregory Peck), the lawyer who testified against him. He stalks Bowden and his wife Peggy (Polly Bergen) and their daughter. Sam hires a private eye (Telly Savalas) to help him. When all his efforts to stop Cady fail, Sam lures him to a houseboat on the Cape Fear River. Cady follows and attacks Peggy and then the girl, but Sam gets there in time to fight him and stop him. |
