Violent and messy. The developing friendship between Riggs and Murtaugh is fun, but otherwise it lacks subtlety.

| Description: | When the daughter of a prominent man is found murdered, Detective Roger Murtaugh (Danny Glover) and his unstable partner Martin Riggs (Mel Gibson) investigate. They uncover a ring of former special forces officers who are running drugs out of Southeast Asia. After attempts on the cops' lives, the bad guys kidnap Murtaugh's teenage daughter. The cops try to rescue her but are captured themselves and tortured. Riggs escapes and kills all the bad guys, the worst of whom (Gary Busey) he defeats in unarmed combat. |
