Description:Cops Martin Riggs (Mel Gibson) and Roger Murtaugh (Danny Glover) uncover a ring of gold smugglers operating out of the South African embassy and claiming diplomatic immunity. When the cops get too close, the South Africans start killing cops. Riggs and Murtaugh go after them and end up on a ship where they destroy all the money the smugglers have accumulated and kill the last of the bad guys.

Review - Lethal Weapon 2

The South Africans make for convenient villains, and they play it to the max here. Although I find the idea that another country could launch a full-scale war on cops and get away with it under normal circumstances. It was violent and implausible and silly.
