Description:Sherman McCoy (Tom Hanks), rich wall street broker, is out with his mistress Maria (Melanie Griffith) when they are mugged by two Black kids. Maria jumps behind the wheel of Sherman's car and drives away, hitting one of the kids. A reporter, Peter Fallow (Bruce Willis) takes on the story and tracks Sherman down. Suddenly, everyone wants to dump on his to serve their own agenda — the Blacks, the D.A., a local minister, the newspapers. He loses his wife, his job, his house. Maria turns against him, but he finds a tape on which she admits that she was driving and he plays it in court and gets off. Fallow, who halfway through started rooting for Sherman and exposes Maria, gets a Pulitzer.

Done as a parody, but overdone, I think. Couldn't be taken seriously and nobody to root for.
