Reviews for Suspicion

Review - Suspicion

I would have given this a higher rating except for the ridiculous final scene where Johnnie races along the cliff road and suddenly swerves, which makes Lina's door fly open. She thinks he's trying to push her out. He insists he was trying to save her. Maybe so, but there's no rational way to account for his driving. Grant is excellent when playing the irresponsible playboy, but not nearly as believable when he begins to act "suspiciously." Fontaine, is excellent as the mousy innocent swept off her feet by the sophisticated man.
