Harmless. Most of the musical numbers were a little flat. The story was cliche, but I've seen worse.

| Description: | Rusty Parker (Rita Hayworth) is a dancer in a small club in Brooklyn. Club owner Danny McGuire (Gene Kelly) is in love with her. Rusty is discovered by a magazine editor, gets on the cover of Vanity and becomes a sensation. Soon she leaves Danny's show and goes on Broadway. She's about to marry a big producer when Danny' friend Genius (Phil Silvers) shows up to remind her what she's about to lose. Rusty runs back to Danny and all live happily ever after. |
