Description:John Russell (Paul Newman) was raised by Apaches and so is scorned by the other stagecoach passengers, one of whom is an Indian agent who is absconding with a pile of money stolen from the Apaches. Bandits hold up the stage and take the money and the agent's wife. Russell only wants to live and get the money back for the Indians, but the other passengers insist he leads them to safety. They end up holed up in an old mine. The bandits offer the wife for the money. Russell confronts and kills them, but is killed himself.

Review - Hombre

Well-acted, but slow moving with some gaping plot holes. For example, the movie ends with the stagecoach passengers standing around looking at Russell's body, but they, and we the viewers, know that another bandit is on the hillside above the cabin, still unaccounted for.
