Scary, especially since it rings true and is likely a great deal worse now than it was then. Well made and exciting throughout.

| Description: | The head of a government security agency has a senator killed because he wouldn't support a bill allowing the government to monitor the action of private citizens. A naturalist got the killing on tape. The agency had the naturalist killed but not before he was able to hand the tape to lawyer Robert Dean (Will Smith). The agency goes after Dean, getting him fired, cancelling his credit, and framing him for murder. Dean manages to contact Edward Lyle (Gene Hackman), a former agent who knows the government's secrets. The two men flee but are caught before they can reveal what they know. Dean leads the agents to a restaurant owned by a mob boss and manipulates the agents and the mobsters to kill each other. |
