Reviews for Birdman
Review - Birdman
I kept watching until the end, but I can't say I enjoyed it at any level. It was weird and I was frequently not sure exactly what was going on.

| Description: | Riggan (Michael Keaton) is a middle-age actor who used to be a star in a series of movies about the comic-book character Birdman. Now he's trying to become a serious actor by writing and putting on a Broadway play, but he's haunted by the Birdman character. He's also dealing with Mike (Edward Norton), an actor who's trying to take over the production; Sam (Emma Stone), his estranged daughter; a critic who has promised to ruin him and various other characters. He tries to commit suicide on the stage on opening night but just blows off his nose. He wakes up in the hospital the next day with a new nose and is happy — I think because he can now be someone else. |
