| Description: | George Valentin (Jean Dujardin) is a popular silent movie star. He discovers Peppy Miller (Berenice Bejo) and she is soon a star herself. When talkies come in, George can't make the transition and soon becomes destitute. Peppy finds out and tries to help. George is reluctant at first, believing nobody wants to hear him talk, but Peppy comes up with an idea for a dance movie, and it's a big hit. |
