| Description: | Swimming instructor Cynthia (Esther Williams) marries the wealthy Robert Delbar after a quick courtship. But he abandons her on the first day of their honeymoon when he's called away for business. Bored on her own at the resort, Cynthia meets war hero Major Thomas Milvaine (Van Johnson). They start out as friends, but become closer as Robert repeatedly delays his return. Helping the romance along is Mr Knudsen (an opera singer staying at the resort) and Tommy Dorsey and his orchestra. When Robert finally returns, he finds that Cynthia and Thomas spent the night together in the woods after getting lost on a hike. He refuses to believe in their innocence and decides to get an annulment of his marriage. Cynthia returns home, but Thomas follows, with the opera singer and the orchestra in tow, and they end up in each others' arms. |
