Cute. It's the origin of the line "You're killing me, Smalls." I'm pretty sure I would have liked it better if I'd seen it when I was 13.

| Description: | Scotty Smalls moves to a new city where he has no friends. He's invited by neighbor Benny Rodriguez to join a group of boys who play baseball every day in a field next to a junk yard. The dog in the yard is huge and any baseball that goes in there is lost. Scotty, to impress the guys, "borrows" his step-dad's ball, signed by Babe Ruth. He hits it into the junk yard and every attempt to retrieve it is thwarted by the dog. Then Benny decides to be a legend. He goes into the yard and grabs the ball and leads the dog on a long chase. In the end, the dog knocks down the junk yard fence and is trapped. Scotty and Benny help him out. They knock on the door and are met by an old man who gives Scotty a ball signed by the entire 1927 Yankees. |
