Review - Edge of Tomorrow
It doesn't stand up to any amount of thought, nor is it a movie that I'll likely ever bother watching again, but it was amusing while it lasted.

| Description: | Aliens have landed in Europe and are spreading across the globe. A large force of soldiers have gathered in London and are preparing to attack. Cage (Tom Cruise), an American officer is stuck in a combat unit against his will. Somehow, he manages to kill an alien just before he's killed himself. He wakes up on the previous day and has the same experience over again. And again. And again. He seeks Rita (Emily Blunt), the only soldier to ever gain a victory against the aliens. Together they figure out that the aliens have the power to reset time — to learn from what happens and then go back and do everything again, this time with foreknowledge. Because Cage killed a particular type of alien, he now has the same power. He and Rita use his ability to locate the group mind of the alien in Paris. They make their way their and destroy the group mind, which kills all the aliens. Both are killed, but Cage wakes up into a world in which the battle has just been won and seeks out Rita who has no memory of who he is. |
