Description:Brian Gilcrest (Bradley Cooper) is a military contractor who travels to Hawaii to arrange an agreement with native residents to launch a satellite. He meets his old girlfriend Tracy (Rachel McAdams), who is having trouble with her marriage to Woody (John Krasinski) who rarely talks. Things get more complicated when Brian finds out that Tracy's daughter is his. There's a connection between Brian and Tracy, but it goes nowhere because Brian falls for Allison (Emma Stone), his Air Force liaison. She's interested, but when she finds out there's a nuke aboard the rocket Brian in launching, she walks away. Brian has a change of heart and destroys the rocket in space. Turns out the Air Force didn't know about the nuke, so Brian is a hero and the private contractor Welch (Bill Murray) who owned the rocket is arrested. Brian stays around Hawaii to be near Allison and his new-found daughter.

Review - Aloha

Seemed like a train wreck going in, and I was never quite sure what a military contractor did or why he had to dedicate a gate for the Hawaiians. And I've also decided I don't care all that much for Bradley Cooper. But McAdams, Stone and Krasinski are all great in their roles. The funniest scene is where Brian and Woody work out their feelings toward one another and the complications of Tracy and the daughter without exchanging a single word — all with hugs and looks, but with subtitles for the viewers benefit.
