| Description: | Trapper and former Union officer Gideon (Pierce Brosnan) is pursued by former Confederate Carver (Liam Neeson) across the mountains of Utah. During the war, Gideon was CO of a troop that burned Carver's farm and killed his wife and two children (although Gideon neither wanted or caused it). Carver is out for revenge and has four men along to help. Before it's over, both men have been wounded. Carver's four men are all dead. The two are isolated in the desert after meeting with the devil in the person of Louise C. Fair (Lucifer, played by Anjelica Huston) who takes all they have except their guns. In the end, they can't kill each other and make peace of a sort as they wander off. |
