They kill her husband, burn down her house, rape her repeatedly and leave her for dead. She meets Thomas Price (Robert Culp) and bounty hunter and convinces him to teach her to shoot. They travel to Mexico and get a gun made by Bailey (Christopher Lee). While there, they fight off a random gang of gunmen. They then ride back north to a small town just hours before the Emmett brothers ride in. Price is stabbed and killed by one of them. Hannie then manages to kill all three of them, with some help from a mysterious guy who has nothing to do in the movie except watch from a distance a couple of times, then help Hannie kill the last brother and ride back into town with her.

Review - Hannie Caulder

Proof that it takes more than a lot of famous actors to make a good movie. The three bad guys were so annoying that, had they existed in real life, they would have been killed long before they had time to commit any crimes. The random gunfight at the gunsmith's house and the guy in black who shows up at the end were just odd. As was the fact that people's gunshot wounds tended to drift around — in one case from the left leg to the right and in another case from the shoulder to the outside of the arm.
