Description:Short film about ex-slave John Henry who raced a steam engine to build a railroad to get the land he had been promised. He won the race, but died from the effort. The movie ends with his wife Polly telling their son about John.

Review - John Henry

The story wasn't anything special, but the animation was pretty cool. It was done so that the finished product showed some of the lines used during drawing before begin cleaned up.
