Description:	Jean (Jennifer Lopez) takes her 11-year-old daughter Griff and runs away from her abusive boyfriend Gary. With nowhere else to go, she ends up on the ranch of her father-in-law Einar (Robert Redford) who still blames her for the car accident that killed her husband (his son) when she was pregnant with Griff. Einar takes care of his friend Mitch (Morgan Freeman) who has been mauled by a grizzly. The DNR catch the bear and put it in a cage. Einar warms up to Griff and then, eventually, forgives Jean and invites her to stay. Mitch asks Einar to free the grizzly. Gary shows up and Einar beats him up and sends him packing. Josh Lucas is around as the cop/love interest of Jean.
