Some clever dialogue, but nothing more, and I wasn't in the mood for Jane Austen on the day after getting fired from my job of 34 years.

| Description: | Based on Jane Austen's The Watsons. Lady Susan Vernon (Kate Beckinsale is a manipulative woman who is poor and takes from everyone and is trying to arrange rich marriages for herself and her daughter Frederica. Lady Susan is trying to convince her daughter to marry the ridiculous and stupid, but wealthy Sir James Martin while she is leading on the much younger Reginald DeCourcy. But while all this is going on, Lady Susan is having an affair with a married man, and when she gets pregnant, she herself has to arrange a quick marriage with Martin. Her relatives, who can't stand her, manage to get Frederica married to DeCourcy. |
