Description:A completely fictionalized biography of P.T. Barnum and the rise of show business. A poor son of a tailor (Hugh Jackman) dreams big, marries the daughter of a wealthy man, and creates a show that the common people enjoy. He hires a group of odd people and makes them famous. When he makes it big, he decides to go for the respect of the upper classes and hires singer Jenny Lind to do a tour. But she quits when he refuses her advances. His theater burns down. He decides to open in a tent and let his partner (Zac Efron) be the public face.

Review - Greatest Showman, The

Watchable. It got heavy-handed with political messages about people fighting for their rights in the second half. The costumes, songs, dances, etc. were completely out of sync with the supposed time frame. None of the songs were particularly memorable.
