Description:The Guardians are hired to protect the batteries that power a planetary civilization. When Rocket steals some of the batteries, the army of the planet sets out to destroy them. They're saved by Ego, an immortal celestial who happens to be Quill's father. Ego tells Quill that he wants to take over the universe but needs Quill's help. Quill and his band rally and find a way to destroy him with the help of Yondu, the thief who raised Quill and, so, is his real father.

Review - Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2

I couldn't remember anything of the first movie, so there was no continuity for me. In places, this one was mildly amusing, but totally forgettable.

I think the weapon that the queen of the planet creates to destroy the Guardians probably has something to do with the next Avengers movie.
