Review - Over the Moon
Pretty standard fare, but I liked Merle Oberon's character, naive but independent. The movie also served as a tour of the hot spots of Europe before WWII.

| Description: | Jane Benson (Merle Oberon) lives alone in an old house, taking care of elderly servants. She falls in love with Freddie Jarvis (Rex Harrison) a country doctor. When Jane inherits a huge amount of money, she attracts hangers-on and sleazy courtiers. Freddie wants no part of that life, so he leaves her and ends up at a posh clinic in Switzerland. Jane rejects the men who are after her until she's courted by a millionaire who loves her and doesn't want her just for her money. But she can't forget Freddie. She tracks him down at his clinic and convinces him to travel to Italy with her—on a strict third-class budget. This does the trick and Freddie decides he lovers her after all. |
