Reviews for The Million Pound Note
Review - Million Pound Note, The
Trite, predictable, without much of a plot. But Peck seemed to be having fun, so it was fairly amusing to watch.

| Description: | Henry Adams (Gregory Peck) is an American sailor stranded in London with no money. He meets two eccentric millionaires who give him a one million pound note as a bet. They tell him that he can have any job he wants if he returns the note intact in one month. Adams quickly discovers that all he has to do is show the note and people will do anything for him. Along the way, he meets Portia, a wealthy heiress with a title. She loves him, even when he confesses that he's poor. A friend of Henry's father uses Henry's name to finance a gold mine, and Henry ends up making 20,000 pounds on the mine and becomes rich after all. |
