Description:Painter Phil Gayley (Errol Flynn) and his ex-wife Ellen (Eleanor Parker) still love each other, but Phil's flings with his models keep getting in the way of their getting back together. Their young daughter Flip has been writing to a marine, Fenwick (Forrest Tucker), but she sent him a picture of Ellen and told him it was her. Fenwick shows up, and Ellen decides to use him to get back at Phil. But when Fenwick realizes how much Phil and Ellen love each other and how much Flip needs her parents to get back together, he fakes a kidnapping with the help of a family friend (S.Z. Sakall). After all is straightened out, Phil and Ellen remarry.

Review - Never Say Goodbye

One of those stupid romance comedy plots in which there would be no plot at all if the two main characters simply listened to each other and believed each other. But Flynn and Parker put some energy into their roles, and it had its moments.
