Description:Submarine commander Ferraday (Rock Hudson) is sent to the Arctic to rescue the members of a British weather station after an explosion. Along with him are British spy David Jones (Patarick McGoohand) and Russian Boris Vaslov (Ernest Borgnine) Jim Brown is also along as a Marine captain but has nothing to do but be suspected (wrongfully) of sabotaging the submarine on the way north. It turns out there's a roll of film from a Russian satellite that shows the location of U.S. missile bases. There's a big showdown on the ice between Russian paratroopers and the subs crew. Ferraday manages to blow up the film so nobody gets it. Vaslov turns out to be working for Russia but is killed by Jones.

Review - Ice Station Zebra

Long and boring, with a prelude and an intermission and minutes of shots of a sub moving slowly underwater and the major characters looking suspiciously at each other. Borgnine plays his role like he's taking happiness pills. Not very exciting.
