Review - Having Wonderful Time
Very short—an hour and 10 minutes—and frenetic, with little character development or plot, but it manages to be mildly amusing.

| Description: | Bronx typist Teddy Shaw (Ginger Rogers) spends her summer vacation at a camp in the Catskills. After a rough start, she hooks up with Chick Kirkland (Douglas Fairbanks Jr.), who works as a waiter. On the final night of camp, he tells her that he doesn't have the money or prospects to marry her but wants to get together anyway. Teddy storms off and meets camp Lothario, Buzzy (Lee Bowman). He takes her to his cabin and tries to make a move, but she refuses him anything but a game of backgammon. Buzzy finally gives up and goes to bed. Teddy falls asleep on the table and is seen leaving his cabin the next morning. Everyone assumes the worst, except Chick, who believes her. He proposes, even though they can't afford anything except a backgammon board. That's when Teddy tells him she already has a backgammon board. Eve Arden, Lucille Ball, and Red Skelton are along as bit players. |
