Description: | Mr. Bean (Rowan Atkinson) is a guard at a London art museum. A Los Angeles museum has just bought Whistler's Mother and wants an expert to give a speech at its unveiling. The directors sent Bean to get rid of him. He stays at the home of David Langley (Peter MacNicol) and immediately proves himself a moron. Langley's wife leaves him. Bean stains the painting and them wipes the canvas clean. He's pretty much ruined Langley's life. He comes up with a scheme to replace the ruined painting with a poster that somehow fools everyone. Bean then ends up at the hospital where he accidentally saves the live of Langley's daughter. Bean and Langley end up good friends. |
