Lola grabs the opportunity to ditch Steve. Back in Florida, Nick gets drunk and goes to make friends with Madden. When Madden won't Nick hits him, and Madden kills him in self defense. He frames Steve and Lola (who receives Nick's money in Atlanta). They're tossed in jail, and Madden's goons organize a lynching. But Danny confronts Madden and gets him to admit to the murder. Steve and Lola stay together and work Nick's farm.

Review - Juke Girl

The ending, with the murder and the lynching, jumped the shark, but Reagan was good as Steve, who fought for the little guy. (A lot of leftists online like to claim this was contrary to Reagan's later political views, but all he did in the movie was work hard and make money — just like most leftists don't.). Sheridan was her usual sultry self.
