Description:Jessie Bourne (Barbara Stanwyck) loves her husband Brandon (James Mason) even though she knows he's having an on-again, off-again affair with Isabel Lorrison (Ava Gardner). Through a mutual acquaintance (Cyd Charisse), Jessie meets Mark Dwyer (Van Heflin). Mark falls for Jessie, but doesn't want to break up her marriage. When Brandon goes to Isabel's apartment and finds her murdered, Brandon is the chief suspect. Mark clears him, but Jessie decides to end the marriage. Mark makes it clear to her that he'll be waiting if she decides she wants him.

Review - East Side, West Side

Rather sordid plot, with people running around chasing people they have no business chasing. But it had an amazing cast, looked impressive, and was well acted. Nancy Reagan had a small part as one of Jessie's friends, but I didn't recognize her.
