Description:Margit Agnew (Myrna Loy) controls every aspect of her sister Irene's (Florence Rice) life. She demands that Irene marries the wimpy Waldo (John Beal). When Margit finds out that Irene and Waldo have been hanging around with the unconventional artist Charles Lodge (William Powell), she demands that he leave them alone. But Irene is tired of Waldo's wimpiness and declares that she's in love with Charles. Margit makes a deal with Charles—she'll sit for one of his paintings if he'll never see Irene. During the time they spend together, Margit falls for Charles, although she refused to admit it. Charles loves her too. He fixes things by setting a date for his wedding to Irene, finally getting Waldo upset enough to take a stand for Irene. In the confusion of the moment, Charles and Margit finally admit that they love each other.

Review - Double Wedding

A madcap comedy that's a bit different, mostly because of William Powell's unconventional acting. I'm not a huge fan of Myrna Loy, and couldn't see why anyone would fall for her. The movie actually made me chuckle out loud a few times.
