Review - Hearts of the West
Some fun characters, but the plot was a mess and hard to follow.

Description: | Naive Iowa farm boy Lewis Tater (Jeff Bridges) heads west in search of adventures that he can include in his stories. He runs across two con men who try to rob him. Lewis takes off in their car and finds himself in possession of their money. He stumbles upon a film crew shooting a cowboy film and is soon hired as an actor. Lewis still aspires to be a writer like Howard Pike (Andy Griffith), who is also working as an actor. Lewis gives Pike his novel to read and Pike betrays him by claiming it's his. The two con men show up and shoot Lewis but before they can do worse, Pike arrives and saves him. Lewis plans on writing the story of his adventures with Pike, but Pike gives him all the credit. Along for the ride is secretary Miss Trout (Blythe Danner) who falls for Lewis. |
