The band includes a female sniper and a young girl who does the cooking. One day Nina (Tamara Toumanova), a ballerina from Moscow, is found in the woods. She's brought to the band and soon she and Vladimir are in love. One by one, the band members die in service to the motherland. Review - Days of Glory

A smaltzy piece of wartime propaganda made to get Americans to feel kind thoughts about the Russians. I'm sure during the war there were many bands like this that fought heroically for their homeland, but I'm also sure many of them were communists. Gregory Peck hated his role so much he never saw the movie.
