| Description: | Larry Gilbert (Bob Hope) and his wife, Mary, are best friends with Jack Weaver and his wife, Kitty (Lucille Ball). They plan a trip to Acapulco together, but at the last minute, Mary and Jack can't make it. Larry and Kitty hand out together and fall in love. When they get back to L.A., they attempt to have an affair on the side but things never work out. They decide to spend a weekend together in Monterrey. Kitty writes Jack a note saying she's through. But things keep going wrong over the weekend and Larry and Kitty realize they're better off staying with their spouses. Kitty rushes home to get the note before Jack reads it. She's too late, but she doesn't realize it. He's happy she's back and never lets her know he knew about the fling. Larry and his wife make plans to go to Acapulco together alone. |
