The rating of 7 only applies if you're in the right mood. It's silly and slapstick and ridiculous, but Jimmy Stewart makes it fun.

| Description: | Bill Lawrence (Jimmy Stewart) wins $24,000 in ridiculous prizes from a radio contest. When the prizes start arriving, he and his wife Amy (Barbara Hale) struggle to figure out where to put them all. Bill then finds out he has to pay $7,000 in taxes on his winnings. He begins trying to sell the prizes. Things get complicated when the beautiful artist Hilda Jones (Patricia Medina) arrives to paint Bill's portrait as one of the prizes. Then Bill gets arrested when the cops show up as he's selling a diamond ring to a bookie. In the end, everything gets sorted out, Bill gets a big promotion at work, and he and Amy go on a nice vacation. A young Natalie Wood was unrecognizable (to me anyway) as the Lawrence's daughter. |
