Description:A movie about a play about two couples who sneak off to a country home for a tryst and somehow keep missing each other as they walk in and out of various rooms. A housekeeper and a burglar are also along to add confusion. Michael Caine plays the director, Carol Burnett the housekeeper. The movie begins by showing the first act in rehearsal where various things keep going slightly wrong. The second part of the movie shows the first act again but this time from the perspective of backstage during opening night. By this time, the actors are at each others throats but manage to make the on-stage performance fairly smooth. The third part of the play shows the same act yet again, in the final pre-Broadway showing. So many things go wrong that it soon descends into chaos.

Review - Noises Off

The rehearsal bit was OK. The second, behind-the-scenes part was funny. But by the third time through, I was just exhausted from watching. The action and dialogue was so fast-paced it was hard to breathe and it just went on too long.
