| Description: | Phil Potter (Burt Reynolds) is recently divorced from Jessica (Candice Bergen) because she was unfaithful and because she wants to pursue a music-writing career. Phil meets Marilyn Holmberg (Jill Clayburgh) at his brother's house and they hit it off although she's afraid that he's unstable from his divorce. She turns out to be right, as Phil doesn't know what he wants. Jessica wants him back, and Phil goes, but he can't forget Marilyn and finally leaves Jessica forever and goes back to Marilyn. |
