| Description: | Tansy Carr (Juliet Mills) is the daughter of millionaire Sir Matthew Carr. Carr assumes she's going to eventually marry Thomas Barclay, son of his business associate, but the two act more like big brother, little sister. Then Tansy meets Cornelius, an American lad. He looks scruffy but is really quite wealthy. Tansy and Cornelius become good friends and go on adventures all over England and Scotland, but without romance or sex. Sir Matthew worries that Cornelius is a gold digger and notifies the police. Thomas takes it upon himself to track her down, kidnap her, and bring her back to London. Cornelius follows and asks Tansy to marry him. When Sir Matthew finds out Cornelius has money, he agrees to the match. But then Tansy realizes she doesn't really love Cornelius and, on the eve of her wedding. elopes with Thomas. |
