Description:Lum & Abner run a general store in Pine Ridge, Arkansas. The first half of the movie is mostly cornball humor, but then a girl is killed by a hit-and-run driver in front of the store and things get more serious. Lum & Abner help track down the driver as the secretary of the town's spinster. They also help the doctor, who has had a heart attack, save the life of a little boy.

Review - Dreaming Out Loud

I watched this on the evening of the day I visited Pine Ridge and saw the store and museum dedicated to the radio show. The movie had heart and fair acting, although the humor and story were pure schmaltz.
