Review - Tom Jones
Weird, with several long scenes with no dialogue, characters breaking the fourth wall, and voice-overs. But it amused me while I watched.

| Description: | Tom Jones (Albert Finney) thought to be a servant's son, is raised by Squire Allworthy. He falls in love with Sophie (Susannah York) daughter of Squire Weston. Blifil, Allworthy's nephew, is jealous of Tom and wants Sophie for himself. He poisons the squire against Tom and has him thrown out. Tom sets off on adventure, finding plenty of willing women along the way, and ends up in London. Sophie follows. Bilfil has Tom framed for murder, and he is about to be hung. But the squires discover Tom is really Allworthy's real nephew, so Weston saves him from the gallows to marry Sophie. |
