| Description: | Harry Hinkle (Jack Lemmon) is an NFL cameraman. When he gets knocked out on the sidelines by Boom Boom Jackson, Harry's brother-in-law, shyster lawyer Willie Gingrich (Walter Matthau) see's his chance. He convinces Harry to fake a more-serious injury and then sues the stadium. Harry is reluctant, especially after a guilty-feeling Jackson and he become friends. But Harry thinks he may have a chance to reconcile with his ex-wife Sandy. All goes at planned and Willie gets the money. But when Harry finds out that Jackson is giving up his career and that Sandy just wants a share of the loot, he demonstrates that he's just faking and ruins the scheme. He kicks Sandy out and talks Jackson into resuming his career. |
