About as implausible as a movie can be, but mildly amusing. Lee Van Cleef behaved, not just like a drunk, but like a drunk playing a drunk.

| Description: | Chain-gang escapee Luke (Jim Brown), and hustler Jaroo (Lee Van Cleef) join up with a bunch of Apaches to attack a Mexican fortress rumored to contain millions in gold. They get in when Claudine, the girl of the fortress commander, Chavez, decides to switch sides and distracts the soldiers by undressing while Luke, Jaroo, and the Apaches attack. Chavez escapes but comes back for the girl. Luke challenges him to a duel—Chavez on horseback with a sabre, Luke with ... well, he's Jim Brown so guess who wins. When Jaroo finds out the gold is really just lead and he got nothing out of the deal, he tries to kill Luke but Luke kills him. Luke ends up in an empty fortress in Mexico with a girl but nothing else. |
