I read the book and liked it. The story is funny, but somehow this version of it just seems complicated and unexciting.

| Description: | An African diplomat hires Dortmunder (Robert Redford) and his gang of thieves to steal a diamond from a museum that he believes belongs in his country. They manage to grab the rock, but the guy who has it gets caught and swallows it. He's sent to prison, so they have to break in and get him out. But he reveals that he hid the rock in the police station, so they have to break in there and get it. But it's not there because one of the gang members told his father about it and the father grabbed it and stuck it in a bank deposit box. They then have to figure out how to get into the box to get the diamond. |
