Description:Three crooks just out of jail, led by Maxwell (Edward G. Robinson) buy a luggage store next to a bank with the intent of burrowing through the basement into the vault. Maxwell's ward Denny (Jane Wyman) wants him to go straight. She begins dating a luggage salesman (Jack Carson), and together they come up with a series of promotions that make the luggage store a success. Maxwell also unintentionally does a service for the other stores in the neighborhood and becomes popular. In time, he decides to go straight and open a bigger store instead of robbing the bank. But Dexter (Anthony Quinn), who knew Maxwell in prison, breaks out and forces the others to go through with the robbery. The cops show up and catch everyone, but Maxwell and his friends get probation and plan to open a legit luggage store.

Review - Larceny, Inc.

Slapstick, and not worth watching a second time, but it had some genuine laughs. About 10 minutes from the end of the movie, the screenwriter got bored or stuck and nothing after that made much sense.
