| Description: | Teri (Helen Hunt) teaches Virgil, a young chimp, sign language. When her project is ended, she thinks the chimp is headed for a zoo but he ends up at an Air Force lab where chimps are taught to operate flight simulators. When they learn how, they are subjected to radiation to see how long they can operate before they die. Jimmy (Matthew Broderick) is put in charge of Virgil and realizes the chimp knows sign language. When he finds out that Virgil will be killed, he calls Teri and tells her. She shows up the next day. Together, they plan on breaking Virgil out of the lab. But meanwhile the chimps stage a breakout and trash the lab. Jimmy and Teri grab Virgil and four other chimps and try to escape on a plane. They're stopped by MPs who leave the chimps in the plane. Virgil manages to steal the plane and fly to the Everglades where they run off free. |
