Description:Marjorie (Doris Day) is excited that her fiance Bill (Gordon MacRae) is coming home from WWI so they can get married. But Bill has decided he needs to get a job and earn some money first. This gives enough time for several silly plot devices — Marjorie's kid brother doesn't want to slaughter the family turkey so he steals the neighbors; Marjorie finds a page from a play and assumes it was written by her father to an actress. Bill finds it and assumes it was written by another man to Marjorie. All gets resolved in the end, of course.

Review - By the Light of the Silvery Moon

I'm not a huge Doris Day fan, but here she played a convincing 18-year-old girl when she was actually 30, which was impressive. Other than that, there was no plot and the songs were ... I've forgotten them already.
