| Description: | When their agent in Beirut disappears, MI-6 sends Jason Love (David Niven), a doctor who did some intelligence work during the war but has had nothing to do with spying since. Love meets Vikki (Francoise Dorleac) and falls for her. He bumbles his way around Lebanon and discovers a plot to kill the prince and take over the country. He tells Vikki, but she, torn between her job and her feelings for Love, reveals that she's working for the Russians. She tries to send Love back to England but he sticks around and stops the assassination. He's captured by the Russians and tortured. He manages to use some spy device to force the plane down in Canada. Vikki dies helping him escape. |
