| Description: | Maisie Ravier (Ann Sothern) is a showgirl stranded in Wyoming when her show shuts down. She gets a job in a carnival but it doesn't last because ranch manager Slim Martin (Robert Young) accuses her of stealing his wallet. She's arrested, but released when the money isn't found. She's told to get out of town, so she sneaks into Slim's truck and manages to finagle a job as maid to Sybil (Ruth Hussey), the wife of ranch owner Ames (Ian Hunter). The Ames are trying to fix their marriage after Sybil had an affair, but the affair is still going on and Maisie finds out. Meanwhile, she and Slim fall in love. Sybil accuses Maisie of flirting with her husband, and when Slim believes it, Maisie leaves the ranch. Ames, crushed by his wife's infidelity, kills himself. Slim is accused, but Maisie finds out and rushes back to give the evidence needed to clear him. |
