This is only the second Maisie movie I've seen and already there's a formula. But Sothern plays her part to the hilt and makes them fun to watch.

| Description: | Maisie (Ann Sothern) is stranded in a western town when her car breaks down. She meets grumpy rancher Bill (Lee Bowman), but they don't get along. She joins up with the Davis family, poor farmers hoping to strike it rich by prospecting. They find gold, but it's a poor strain that doesn't pay. The Davises and their friends are out of money and in bad shape. Bill agrees to stake them to homestead claims using his water as long as they help him irrigate his land. Everyone is happy—except when they see Maisie take off to look for work somewhere else. |
